Discovery & Product-Market Fit
Find problems worth solving in a product that already has users, and prove one of them before anyone writes code.
Sona has 40,000 users, a roadmap that is a wishlist, and a board meeting in eight weeks. Maya wants to know whether the product actually fits anyone. Your job this level is to replace opinion with evidence, at a volume nobody could process by hand two years ago, and then to bet on one thing in writing.

You can write a decent brief, but your evidence is thin and you know it.
What you will be able to do.
Recruit and interview strangers about their past behaviour, without leading them
Build a reusable extraction pipeline that turns thousands of tickets, calls and reviews into rows you can count
Tell the difference between what users say and what they do, and know which one to build for
Measure product-market fit honestly, by segment, and say out loud when you do not have it
Run one experiment that could have failed, and write down what would change your mind before you run it

Lessons open in order. You can go back to anything you have already reached, and forward one step at a time.
Finish level 01 first.
This level assumes the work in the one before it. Nothing here is hidden behind a payment, only behind the level below.
Go to level 01The discovery pack
One pack that someone else could act on without you in the room: the evidence log, the problems ranked with counts, the single problem you would bet the quarter on, the cheapest test that could kill it, and the list of what you decided not to build with the criteria that would revive each item.
- An evidence log of 200 or more coded rows, every one carrying its verbatim quote
- Three consented interviews and five observed sessions, with a synthesis
- Three published project articles with artifact links, AI-use notes and a link to pmcademy.com
- An opportunity solution tree with evidence counts on every node
- A pre-registered test of your top bet, and a kill list with revival criteria
Finishing every lesson unlocks Level 03 straight away, free. The Signal Hunter badge itself is reviewed by a practising product manager and is part of the one time community fee.
